The Alfa Romeo 159 is available with a choice two highly advanced Turbo Diesels, the 1.9 litre 110 kW and the 2.4 litre 147 kW, both which offer a blend of remarkable economy and effortless performance. The Turbo Diesel Alfa Romeo 159 sedan opens the 159 range a new on the road price of $48,990†, while the 159 Sportwagon is available from a drive away price of $51,990†.
Both engines, which are available with a choice of six speed manual or automatic gearboxes, provide a wealth of torque, which means effortless acceleration across the speed range. At the same time they provide fuel consumption that is comparable with a conventional small car, just 6.0 litres per 100 km on the combined cycle for the 159 1.9 JTD sedan manual, for example which means not just lower fuel bills, but also less emissions and a longer range between tank re-fills.
